May 23 Teacher Only Day Tuesday 4 June 2013 Across the Nelson region Tuesday 4 June is a Teacher Only Day for all secondary schools. This is a Ministry of Education-granted day for secondary schools to focus on the new achievement standards. Students should not attend school on this day; school buses will not be running. Enjoy the long Queen’s Birthday weekend. School will resume on Wednesday 5 June. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.	Mar 14 Regional Secondary Schools Māori Speech Competitions 14 June 2013 Ngā whakataetae mo ngā manu kōrero o ngā kura tuarua 2013 Nayland College has the privilege of hosting these auspicious Speech Competitions in 2013. Aug 14 PPTA UNION MEETING: WEDNESDAY 22 AUGUST 2012 Nayland College teachers who are members of the Post Primary Teachers Association (PPTA) will be meeting on Wednesday 22 August. Jun 7 PPTA Union Meeting: Cancelled The PPTA has cancelled the planned union meeting on Tuesday 12 June. This follows the Government’s decision to reverse plans to increase class size ratios. This means classes will run as usual on Tuesday as will the buses. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.	May 28 Open Night 24 July 2012 Nayland College will be holding an Open Night on Tuesday 24 July at 7.00 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for prospective year 9 students and their families to take a guided tour of the College.
