In the last week of term 2, 65 students from the Nayland College Vocal Company and Orchestra left Nelson for a week-long trip to Wellington. Nine Nayland students took part in the Southern Jam Jazz Festival in Blenheim last month. The students attended a master class practice at Marlborough Boys’ College to improve their pieces in readiness for the competition. Staying in a Picton backpackers with no television meant the students had plenty of time to work on their songs, changing, rearranging and even learning some new ones. Read the rest of this entry » |

The University of Otago Festival of Shakespeare in Schools is on Sunday April 10 at Nelson College for Girls. Nayland has 12 entries this year and the students are working hard on their performances during their Drama lessons and out of class time. |
