Dowload the full Start of Year Information 2013 including starting times for Monday 28 January through to Friday 1 February 2013. Please note: school is closed 4-6 February for Nelson Anniversary and Waitangi Day. School resumes Thursday 7 February with normal timetables.

Food Drive successful

Congratulations Nayland College, you made a real difference. This year was the fourth time we have collected donations for the FoodBank and we collected enough to supply food parcels for three weeks. A big thanks goes to Gemma Winstanley (pictured) and Rebecca Baird who coordinated the collection of the food. Read more here…

International student adds to her adventures

Mexican exchange student Sofia Aureoles Geymonat has spent the last year living in Nelson and studying at Nayland College. She certainly knows how to make the most of her time. She has gone on trips to French Pass with Marine Science, to the West Coast with geography and ends her time in NZ by attending a forum with the Youth United Nations in Vanuatu and Melbourne. A great end to term 2

The last hour of term 2 was not the usual period 5 lesson. Students and teachers ended the term by choosing one of four events: a quiz, a rave, a food challenge and a mud run. It was organised by the House Leaders and Captains as a fun way to end a busy term and as a way for these leaders to learn event management and team work. Read more here…

It is leadership Week this week and at Nayland young people are being encouraged to Dare to Dream by the Sir Peter Blake Trust.Nayland College is so very proud of the hundreds of students who are involved in groups, support their teams and their …causes and who step up to lead (from the front or the back) these groups. Careers Road Show

Parents are invited to attend the Nayland College Careers Road Show on Monday 30 April.  This is a bi-annual event where a range of 36 Providers, ITO’s, Polytechnics, Universities and Private Institutes will be available for students to discuss their learning beyond school and possible career pathways.
