We have received our confirmed ERO Review Report following ERO’s Term 2 visit to Nayland College this year. Unlike previous years the new reporting format does not provide a summary version for parents – instead the entire Report has been written for parents. The Report is very affirming of the many good things that we know are happening at Nayland.
Some quotes extracted from the Report:
*Nayland College is a welcoming school with a positive tone and warm relationships. There is a culture focused on students’ well-being and support through a strong pastoral care system. Students demonstrate a sense of pride in their college.
*Most students are engaged, progressing, achieving and generally focused on learning. High levels of student interest and motivation are evident in most classes.
*There is a positive climate for learning in the college and students have a sense of belonging. There are positive warm relationships among students. Teachers are respectful and affirming in their relationships with students.
*There are many opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and to contribute to decision making and the life of the college.
